Had the best meal in such along time for my wife's 40th birthday. Great location and staff were brilliant, nothing was to much trouble. Definitely will be going back to heather (chef) and her team.

We booked because of the fabulous Tapas that they did but on arrival looking at the menu... No Tapas. However the food when it came was amazing. The steak was phenomenal. I've eaten in a lot of 5 star hotel restaurants and this was equal to if not better than that. Service was a little bit slow but nothing to complain about. Highly recommend this restaurant.

Mom's Grill is situated at the bottom end of Crossways shopping centre. A great eat in or takeaway menu.. Food is top notch. In fact I will only eat here. Excellent service with a smile.. The owner Mo is a great chap.. You can eat indoors or outside with a parasol keeping you in the shade. Or you can takeaway & eat in the park like I do..

Great find. Good food at reasonable prices. Mo is a wonderful host. He knows how to make customers feel very welcome. Such a change from some other places.

Good food, great sharing tapas at reasonable prices. Food is slightly anglicised but means its really tasty and appealing to eat. Service was super. The meaty pizza was just that! Great evening!

I like Indian food but not from here. Idid not enjoy it at all plus very expensive. I won't come here again.

Great food with a menu to suit most tastes and a chef who is flexible , good customer service with friendly, helpful staff, clean comfortable surroundings, relaxing music a great place to go on your own or with friends and family. Taste and see for yourself!

Excellent food, lovely staff who couldn't do enough for you. The chef even came out and asked how the food was, that's a nice touch. Highly recommended.

This place is a hidden gem. The service was excellent right from the start to finish. Food was of a good standard, even my young daughter enjoying the bespoke child friendly Nepalese dish. A nice touch from the chef coming to our table and mentioning some secret child friendly ingredients. Really pleasant experience

We have eaten a takeaway of chicken tikka madras,lamb madras,mushroom fried rice and saag bahjee. Absolutely excellent, we ordered extra hot though, as previous wasn't very hot, it was tasty, hot and full of spicy flavours. Chicken was succulent. Sauce was full and rich.The saag was beautiful,full of flavour. Very very tasty Indian takeaway. The best in Paignton and we have tried quite a few of them.

I love this restaurant. Enjoyed a fabulous meal there last.night celebrating my sister’s birthday. Max is a welcoming host, and very attentive. Our table was decorated for my sister’s birthday, she was given a birthday card, and presented with a cake at the end of the meal. The food is well presented and tastes fantastic.. This is by far my favourite restaurant in Paignton.

We just had the most amazing dinner at La Scala. Max is a very attentive host and made us feel most welcome. The food was fantastic - all the dishes were well prepared and fresh. A definite favourite and highly recommended.

I love this place! I order from here at least once a week. They aren really good at accommodating my vegan Italian food needs. Pizza is amazing with their vegan cheese, I love the garlic bread and the bruschetta. The spaghetti that I tried lately is also very good! Thank you Avanti! Xx

Great cocktails but strange music choice. Not really encouraged to re order.. service was fine but a more personal service would have kept me longer.

A wonderful niche cocktail bar. Quirky and unique in Paignton there's no other bar like it in the bay. The cocktails were nothing short of superb! Cola Cube takes me right back to my childhood. The staff are very polite and courteous with an overall personal feel. Even the barman kept coming back to our table to ensure we were enjoying the drinks and for a chat. We even asked for something that wasnt on the menu and the duly obliged and brought us some fantastic shots. Nothing but praise all round for a fantastic Cocktail bar!

Fantastic night at the lions monocle. The staff were really attentive, they made a special effort with table decorations for mine and my cousins birthday. They also served a fantastic vegan platter with vegan cupcakes. Brilliant and very tasty. The cocktails were professionally created and reasonably priced. Happy days!

Used to drink here a few decades ago when I worked in Well Street as a Y.T.S. Trainee. Friendly staff with a smile.. Snakebite & Black was my drink.. Still a popular place.. Always has lots of punters..

Quiet lunchtime meal that has to be paid for on ordering

We are regulars to this restaurant but over the last year we have seen a big change in the standard of service (poor). The only thing that keeps us coming back is the food which is yummy. Other dislike is the amount of foreign students that treat this restaurant like a some kindergarten. Please look at limiting the amount of students or the times in which they can attend your restaurant.

Lush!! Lovely food, friendly staff. They'll change up the menu on request - crispy shredded beef in yellow bean sauce is awesome! My favourite Chinese as a Torbay local.

Lovely food. Lovely staff. Not in the busy part of town. Buffet is mindblowingly good.

We've been to quite a few Chinese buffets and this is one of the best. A decent selection of starters, prawn toast, chicken balls, pancake rolls, crispy duck with pancakes and chicken satay to name a few. Main courses were well catered for with chicken curry, chicken in black bean sauce, sweet and sour chicken and many others on offer. We didn't make dessert but they looked good too. We will go back before our holiday ends. Well worth a visit.

A fantastic and reasonably priced Chinese buffet restaurant. Though some of the trays were not the freshest and had some hard rice in it. But overall I would go again.

If I'm taking the wife out I wouldn't eat anywhere else, service is great, cocktails are amazing but most of all we love the food, would recommend the chef's sticky balls.

A delight, food was lovely. Service was attentive but not overbearing.

Decent food, fair prices. Service is okay, but the 'Indian dhal' on my jacket potato was very cold when served, had to wait about 7 mins for it to be heated up. Not the cleanest restaurant though, all the staff are quite young and don't seem to be cleaning tables but instead waiting for customers at tills even when business is quiet. Brilliant location though. There are limited vegetarian and vegan options but it's good to see some choices. Good selection of birchall specialty teas, and delicious cakes! Biodegradable packaging on sandwiches etc is good to see, they are reducing single use plastics at the zoo so they only sell cartons or cans of drinks.

Good food at reasonable prices. If Zoo is busy so is the restaurant.

Just finishing a weeks stay in the toorak and am so impressed.they seem to go that extra mile for anything you need and always with a smile.the food is amazing and so filling.i didn't have one thing wrong with any part of my meal and my stay.

We have just returned from a weeks holiday at the Toorak Hotel and had a wonderful time. The food was excellent and so was the service throughout our stay. We would have no hesitation in booking a return holiday.
